Ingredients
  

For the marinade
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound chicken pieces
For cooking
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • as needed servings rice or fresh vegetables For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a pan, cook the chopped onion until it becomes translucent.
  2. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked through.
  3. Stir in cream and let simmer for a few minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve the chicken hot over a bed of rice or alongside fresh vegetables.

Notes

Marinate chicken longer for better flavor. Adjust spices to taste. For a lighter version, use low-fat yogurt and cream. Can use boneless chicken thighs or add bell peppers/tomatoes for variations.
