  • 1 package sugar cookie dough Store-bought
For Decoration
  • as needed Chocolate candies For turkey bodies
  • as needed Candy corn For feathers
  • as needed Royal icing or chocolate frosting For adhesive

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the sugar cookie dough package instructions and bake the cookies.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool completely.
Decoration
  1. Use royal icing or frosting to attach chocolate candies to the cookie to form the turkey's body.
  2. Add candy corn for feathers by sticking them into the top of the cookie.
  3. Use icing to attach candy eyes if desired.
  4. Let everything set before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 2–3 days. For longer storage, freeze them in a single layer on a tray, then move to a freezer bag. Thaw at room temperature before serving. To ensure decorations stick better, let cookies cool fully before adding frosting. Use a small amount of frosting as glue; too much will run.
