Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (til) Roasted until light golden
  • 1 tablespoon oil For tempering
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds For flavor
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds For flavor
  • 1-2 pieces green chilies, chopped Adjust to taste for spice level
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • Cilantro for garnish Fresh, for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan until they turn light golden and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, heat the oil and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
  3. Once they start spluttering, add the chopped green chilies and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add turmeric powder and salt, mixing well.
  5. Stir in the roasted sesame seeds and mix until everything is well combined.
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Serve this mix on steamed rice, mix with dal, or use it as a side for roti or naan. It can also be added to yogurt or salads for extra crunch. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
