Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure butter is at room temperature.
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles Optional, fold in at the end.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. If using, fold in the sprinkles.
  7. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze wrapped bars for up to 3 months and thaw at room temperature before serving.
