Pasta and Protein
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta Cook according to package instructions
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb steak, cut into strips
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons blackened spice blend Adjust amount to taste
  • 2 cups heavy cream May substitute with milk for a lighter version
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese For richness in flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the steak and shrimp
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish Adds color and freshness

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the steak strips with the blackened spice blend, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Add the steak to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Add the cooked pasta, steak, and shrimp to the sauce. Toss until everything is well coated.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of milk or cream if needed. Consider marinating the steak for added flavor.
