  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts Trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices Bacon Chopped into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder Can be skipped or replaced with fresh garlic

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Chop the bacon into small pieces and add it to the bowl, mixing everything together.
Roasting
  1. Spread the Brussels sprouts and bacon mixture onto a baking sheet in a single layer.
  2. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are crispy and the bacon is cooked.
  3. Optional: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with roasted chicken, pork, or a simple pasta. Add a squeeze of lemon for brightness, and for best storage, cool the leftovers to room temperature and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or hot skillet to maintain crispness.
