  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage Can be replaced with turkey sausage for a lighter version.
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles Break into smaller pieces for even cooking.
Sauce and Cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Use low-sodium marinara for less salt.
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni Can be substituted with chopped veggies for a vegetarian option.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Pre-shred cheese for better melting.
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to your taste preferences.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Break the lasagna noodles into pieces and stir them into the skillet. Add marinara sauce and enough water to cover the noodles.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the noodles are tender, about 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally and add more water if needed.
  4. Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the sliced pepperoni and Italian seasoning.
  5. Top with shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover and cook on low until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5-7 minutes.

Notes

Serve straight from the skillet for a hot and gooey texture. Let it cool a few minutes before slicing.
