Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the diced ham.
- In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour half of this mixture over the potatoes and ham.
- Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ham, cream mixture, and finish with the remaining cheese.
- Dot the top with butter.
Baking
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Cool to room temperature before storing. Cover tightly and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe dish for up to 2 months. To reheat, thaw if frozen, then bake covered at 350°F (175°C) until heated through, about 20–30 minutes.
