Ingredients
  

Meat and Seasoning
  • 1.5 lbs Lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For cooking the beef
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
Cheeses
  • 1.5 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese Freshly shredded is preferred
  • 1.5 cups Shredded cheddar cheese Freshly shredded is preferred

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
Assembly
  1. In a greased lasagna dish, layer cooked beef, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and lasagna noodles.
  2. Repeat the layers, finishing with cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  3. Let sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Brown the beef well for better flavor. Use fresh grated cheeses if you can. For a meat-forward plate, serve with a simple steak like garlic rib eye steak on the side.
