Baking Preparation
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to preheat.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter and icing sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Mix in the finely grated orange peel.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cornflour, cinnamon powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until a smooth dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough, roll into balls, and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Flatten slightly.
Baking
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze them for up to 1 month.
