  • 1 package ravioli (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Garnish
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional) Use fresh basil leaves for a garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
  3. Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Spread half of the ricotta mix over the ravioli, then sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, sauce, ricotta mix, and cheeses.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat by placing in the oven at 350°F until warmed through or microwave individual servings. For added heat, consider adding red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce or incorporating vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for added nutrition.
