  • 1 lb Kielbasa sausage, sliced Use your favorite variety of Kielbasa.
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved Fresh Brussels sprouts work best.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced Can substitute with shallots.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For added flavor.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • optional Red pepper flakes Adjust based on your spice preference.
  • for garnish Chopped parsley Adds freshness.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced Kielbasa to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the Kielbasa from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the onions and Brussels sprouts. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the Brussels sprouts are tender.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Return the Kielbasa to the skillet, stir well, and heat through.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

Notes

Kielbasa and Brussels sprouts stir-fry can be served on its own or over rice/noodles. It can also be customized with additional veggies like bell peppers and carrots. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for longer storage.
