Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil.
  3. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then coat them in the honey garlic mixture.
Cooking
  1. If using the oven, place the chicken in a baking dish and pour the remaining sauce over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked.
  2. If using a skillet, sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for about 5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5-10 minutes until cooked through.
Serving
  1. Garnish with green onions if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For added depth of flavor, marinate the chicken thighs in the honey garlic mixture for a few hours before cooking. If you like a spicy kick, consider adding red pepper flakes to the sauce. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan if you're using a skillet; this will help the chicken brown nicely. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
