- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add water and mix until you achieve a smooth batter.
Frying
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, turning occasionally.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Notes
Serve gulgule warm on a plate. They taste good with tea or coffee. Dust with a little powdered sugar on top for extra sweetness. To store, let gulgule cool fully. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 day or refrigerate for 2–3 days. Reheat in a low oven or skillet to retain crispiness.
