  • 1 cup rice (uncooked) Long-grain white rice is recommended.
  • 2 cups beef broth You can adjust the amount if using brown rice.
  • 1 onion, chopped A medium onion is ideal for flavor.
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped Any color bell pepper works well.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adjust to taste based on preference.
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz) Drained if you prefer less liquid.
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
Cooking
  1. Add the rice, beef broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked through.
  3. Fluff the rice with a fork, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve hot!

Notes

Add a green salad or steamed vegetables on the side. Top with fresh parsley, shredded cheese, or a spoon of sour cream if desired. Serve with crusty bread to soak up juices.
