- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
- Drain excess fat from the pan.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.
- Gradually whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce until the gravy becomes smooth.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve the beef and gravy over hot mashed potatoes.
Notes
Brown the beef well for more flavor. If the gravy is too thick, add a little more broth. If it is too thin, simmer a bit longer.
