Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg; mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and 2 eggs until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until fully combined.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake mixture in the pan.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center remains soft and gooey.
Serving
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
- Serve plain, or dust with extra powdered sugar. A scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce pairs well.
Notes
Cool completely, then cover the pan with plastic wrap or store bars in an airtight container. Keep at room temperature for 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze bars in a single layer, then wrap well and freeze up to 2 months.
