Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni Cook until al dente.
Cheese Sauce
  • 2 cups milk Use whole milk for a creamier texture.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Helps to create a rich sauce.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Freshly shredded recommended.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Freshly shredded recommended.
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese Can swap for cream cheese for milder flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese Freshly shredded recommended.
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese Freshly shredded recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For melting in the sauce.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to preference.
Topping
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs For a crunchy topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
Make Cheese Sauce
  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the milk and heavy cream, and heat until warm.
  3. Gradually add the cheddar, mozzarella, blue cheese, Parmesan, and Gruyère, stirring until melted and smooth.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix until evenly coated.
Bake
  1. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top, and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  2. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for a smoother sauce. Toast breadcrumbs in butter for extra crunch.
