Browning the Steaks
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the cube steaks with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.

- Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.
Making the Gravy
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens.
Final Cooking
- Return the cube steaks to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
- Serve warm with the onion gravy over the top.
