  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup lump crab meat (optional but highly recommended!) Fresh lump crab gives the best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp olive oil For toasting the bread.
  • 3 tbsp 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted Provides flavor and moisture.
  • 4 cloves 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • pinch Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for kick)

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice your baguette into thick rounds—perfect for loading! Lightly toast each piece in a hot skillet with a drizzle of olive oil for that crispy golden crunch.
  2. In a skillet, combine melted butter and garlic. Add the shrimp, a pinch of salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until shrimp are tender and juicy.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
Broiling
  1. Pile the seafood-cheese mixture generously on each toast slice.
  2. Place loaded bread slices on a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and slightly golden. Finish with a sprinkle of parsley.

Notes

Serve warm so the cheese stays melty. Add lemon wedges or a light salad to balance the richness. Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
