Ingredients
  

For the base
  • 1 package chocolate sandwich cookies Crushed for the base
For the cream layer
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Let it come to room temperature for easier mixing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping May use fresh whipped cream
For the pudding layer
  • 2 cups chocolate pudding
  • 2 cups milk Use cold milk to set pudding faster
For topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Optional extra cookies for garnish Crushed

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies and layer them in the bottom of a dessert dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crushed cookie layer.
  4. Prepare the chocolate pudding by whisking it with the milk until thick. Spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  6. Optional: Garnish with additional crushed cookies.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid and keep it in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Do not freeze, as the texture will change. For serving, cut into squares or scoop into bowls and serve cold with additional whipped topping or cookie crumbs if desired.
