Cheeseburger Pie

A warm, easy cheeseburger pie that feeds the family, made with simple ingredients and cooks in one dish.

Ingredients
  

Meat and Seasonings
  • 1 lb Ground beef Brown and drain excess fat.
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder For flavor.
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped Chop finely.
Batter
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour Can be substituted for a low-carb version.
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
Cheese and Cooking
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded Use sharp cheddar for better flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Cooking spray or butter For greasing the pie dish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with garlic powder and chopped onion until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, Worcestershire sauce, flour, black pepper, salt, and milk until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cooked beef mixture and half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish and top with remaining cheddar cheese.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Cool the pie to room temperature before storing. Cover and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. To freeze, wrap tightly and freeze up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
