  • 4 pieces hoagie or hot dog buns
  • 4 pieces crispy chicken tenders store-bought or homemade
  • 4 slices cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard or Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter optional, for toasting buns

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly butter the buns if desired, then toast them in a skillet or in the oven until golden brown for added flavor and texture.
Assembly
  1. Place one cooked chicken tender inside each bun, then top with a slice of cooked bacon and sprinkle evenly with shredded cheddar cheese.
Baking
  1. Arrange the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is thoroughly melted and the sandwich is heated through.
Serving
  1. Remove the sandwiches from the oven and drizzle the honey mustard over the top. Serve immediately with chips, fries, or coleslaw.

Notes

Cool sandwiches to room temperature, wrap tightly in foil or place in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 8–10 minutes or in a skillet until heated through.
