Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, pickles, macaroni, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper.
Baking
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- Serve warm in bowls and top with pieces of sesame seed burger buns.
Notes
Cool the casserole before storing. Store in the fridge for 3 to 4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating. Use freshly shredded cheese and adjust seasoning as needed.
