  • 1 lb ground beef Browned in a large pot
  • 1 each onion, chopped Adds flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the taste
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth Use low-sodium if desired
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat a large pot on medium heat.
  2. Brown the ground beef in the pot and drain fat if needed.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until onion is soft.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, soy sauce, and paprika.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer.
  6. Cover and let simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Taste and add salt or pepper if needed.

Notes

Serve hot with bread or pasta. For storage, cool and store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge and reheat when serving.
