Preparation
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Lower heat and stir in sour cream. Mix until combined.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. This dish pairs well with a side of steamed vegetables.
