  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups beef broth Use low-sodium if preferred.
  • 1 cup egg noodles Can substitute with other types of noodles.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing.
  • for garnish Fresh parsley

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until tender.
  6. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, mixing well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a different flavor twist, try using ground turkey or chicken instead of beef. If the dish thickens too much, add a splash of broth or water when reheating. Serve hot in bowls, and consider adding grated cheese for extra flavor.
