  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Soften before mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup jalapenos, diced Drain if using canned.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional, for coating) For a crunchy coating.
For Serving
  • as needed Crackers or veggies for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced jalapenos, green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into a ball shape.
  3. If using, coat the cheese ball in chopped nuts.
  4. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
Serving
  1. Place the cheese ball on a small plate or board. Add crackers, sliced baguette, or cut veggies around it. Let guests spread it on crackers or dip with veggies. Serve cold.

Notes

To store, wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap or place in an airtight container. It can be kept in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. To freeze, wrap well and place in a freezer bag, freezing for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge before serving.
