Preparation
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with the diced onion over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Cooking
- Add the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the rice and cover. Cook until the rice is tender and has absorbed most of the broth.
- Mix in the cooked bacon and shredded cheese, stirring until the cheese is melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
- Serve hot, topped with optional toppings if desired.
Notes
Cool the skillet to room temperature after serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave. Adjust cooking time based on the type of rice used.
