- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until smooth. Add eggs and milk, and mix until combined.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bread.
- Let it cool before slicing and enjoy your apple fritter bread!
Notes
Slice the bread and serve it warm or at room temperature. Add a pat of butter for extra richness. Wrap the cooled bread in plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container. Keep it at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. To freeze, wrap well and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw before serving. Tips: Use firm apples to hold shape, dice apples small for even mixing, and do not overmix the batter.
