Notes

Slice the bread and serve it warm or at room temperature. Add a pat of butter for extra richness. Wrap the cooled bread in plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container. Keep it at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. To freeze, wrap well and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw before serving. Tips: Use firm apples to hold shape, dice apples small for even mixing, and do not overmix the batter.
