Preparation
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Roll out pie crusts on a lightly floured surface and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the circle over and seal the edges with a fork.
Cooking
- Brush the tops with egg wash and lightly cut slits for steam to escape.
- Arrange the pies in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar. These hand pies store well and are great for picnics. Do not overfill pies to prevent leakage.
