Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed Keep butter cold for flaky layers.
  • 1 cup 7-Up soda Can substitute with Sprite or another lemon-lime soda.
  • 1/4 cup sour cream Can substitute with plain yogurt or an extra tablespoon of butter.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in 7-Up and sour cream until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out and cut biscuits using a biscuit cutter or glass.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

Cool biscuits fully before storing. Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze in a sealed bag for up to 1 month. Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5–8 minutes.
